Our V Day tradition

14 Feb

The best restaurant in town!

Our Valentine’s Day tradition is for us to eat at home.  When Elizabeth arrived home she said we had better be eating soon since the smell was so amazing.  The menu at Weez’s Organic Café this evening included Three Cheese Polenta topped with caramelized onions and garlic, Swiss chard, and fresh tomatoes; stir-fried grass-fed local sirloin tips; and a Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany the meal.  All the table settings–china, linens, candlesticks, and silverware–were wedding gifts from our friends and family.  We feel just the two of us makes it special.

For those of you who are still waiting for the one to complement you… take heart.  Elizabeth and I lived on opposite ends of the state and met at a youth group training workshop in yet another state.  I was 46 when we met.  Go figure!  Weeks later we realized it was meant to be.  Like I said earlier today “Sometimes Magic just happens”!

Magic is like that! I’m happy for you. Let me know next time you’re in the Berkshires and we can catch up. You are one of those people I was thinking of in the Same Skies post!
